THOM YORKE, THE NATIONAL E OUTROS SE UNEM PARA ÁLBUM

Conhece o cara aí de cima? Chama-se Mark Mulcahy. Conhecendo ou não, você já pode ser fã dele. Em sua homenagem, Thom Yorke, Michael Stipe, Frank Black, The National, Dinossaur Jr. e diversos outros vão se reunir para gravar um álbum.

O álbum vai ser de covers das músicas de Mark Mulcahy. Ele criou os grupos Miracle Legion e Polaris nos anos 80, e desde os anos 90 segue carreira-solo. Além disso, já contribuiu para a divulgação de artistas como Jeff Buckley, Oasis e Radiohead.

Com 21 faixas, o álbum vai se chamar “Ciao my shining star: the songs of Mark Mulcahy”. Só sai em setembro, mas o melhor de tudo isso é que já podemos ouvir duas músicas que vão compor o cd: por Thom Yorke e por The National.  A conclusão que eu chego ao ouvir as duas faixas, é de que qualquer coisa fica boa na voz do Yorke e qualquer música que o The National tocar, vira ouro.
